Project Engineer
OM Civil is seeking a Project Engineer with experience in civil construction and urban development works in Logan, Brisbane, and the Gold Coast region for immediate start.
The successful applicant MUST have a civil engineering degree qualification and possess a high level of communication, analytical, organisational, and computer skills with a willingness to work on-site with a highly motivated team.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with preparing estimates and budgets, planning and monitoring project construction to maximise time and cost efficiencies, and implementing quality control registers, inspections, and documentation.
Have a strong work ethic and desire for career progression while working safely and demonstrating respect for the environment and community.
The Successful Candidate Will Have:
- Degree in Civil Engineering;
- Five+ years of experience in urban development work in local government regions across South East Queensland, specifically Gold Coast City and Logan City Councils;
- A strong Information Technology background and experience in current technologies;
- Management of subcontractors and construction delivery;
- Ensuring all site activities and operational delivery are performed per HSE legislation;
- Planning, scheduling, and budgeting, as well as progress and cost reporting;
- Quality Assurance of construction delivery;
- Procurement.
This is a local role, and FIFO/DIDO candidates will not be considered.

Civil Supervisor
We are seeking Civil Supervisors for an immediate start who will assist us with multiple recently awarded projects in the Gold Coast and Southeast QLD region.
The Successful Candidates Will Have:
- Five+ years experience as a Civil Foreman in civil infrastructure projects, urban development, and local government services, particularly roads and urban development experience;
- Relevant “from the ground up” civil construction experience in a supervisory capacity;
- Experience in roadworks, bulk earthworks, drainage, and pipe laying;
- Exceptional individual and team leadership and interpersonal skills, with a willingness to coach/mentor other junior staff, plant operators, and labourers;
- Understanding of regulatory, governance, and community requirements;
- An ability to work to deadlines and manage conflicting priorities in a high-volume work environment;
- Relationship management, conflict management, and resolution and problem-solving expertise, with an ability to think outside the box;
- A commitment to developing and maintaining a safety and health culture above all else.
