TRANSLINK BUSWAY PROJECT

OM Civil constructed a new concrete pavement busway for Translink.  Although not an overly large project, the complexity of service diversions, pavement widening of the adjacent TMR road, tree clearing, new linemarking, signage and landscaping required thorough planning and engineering to successfully deliver the finished project to the satisfaction of all stakeholders.  OM Civil also installed the 4 new undercover bus shelters. To enable the works to be safely constructed detailed traffic guidance schemes were developed in consultation with the adjacent businesses focusing on access, diversions and pedestrian movements to minimise disruptions and maximise safety.  As part of the scope of works OM Civil were also required to design and construct the permanent lighting for the new bus stops.
